Tomáš Jetela (*1986), recent finalist of Czech Art Critics Award, graduate from Michael Rittestein studio at Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, presents his latest paintings inspired by the world of underworld, little scoundrels, filchers and their planned getaways. All these protagonist are subjected to our ambiguous attitudes of sympathy and antipathy. Jetela’s painters „pitch“, full of social issues and visuality of cinematography of forties and fifties, reminds us of film noir tradition, as well as of Italian neorealist movement.
