In his new series Roots painter Jan Uldrych is making a link to his previous exhibition cycle Cave. In this new series of paintings Uldrych explores roots of our origin including roots of our human experience. Formally, materialization of a space in painting becomes a central topic of Uldrych's paintings. Literally - you will find 3d spaces in some paintings that underlines focus on painting a space volume. Topics remain both ritual and symbolic and also figurative and realistic. However, sometimes only seemingly realistic, this time accompanied with adventurous prehistoric scenes. Each painting captures metaphysics of particular moment in time.
Czech conceptual glass maker and designer Lukas Novak revived as part of his project Lost & Found unique glass technique called lithyalin invented in 1818 by Bedrich Egermann. With the help of glass technologist Vaclav Kuzelka he shifted this forgotten technique into a modern form. His experiments result into a remarkable collection of vases that mirrors cosmic colors.
